Final Film Review




For our film review we were told to look at other real film reviews and try and get an ides of what film reviews are about. We were then told that we should pick the magazine that is most likely to have your type of film in it. Because our genre is children we thought the best place our film review will be in is in a film magazine, so I looked at a couple of them. When creating my own film review I used the title form Total film to create my own title. I then used the layout of empire magazine film reviews when doing my film review.

What is a film review?

I went on to Wikipedia and typed in “film review” and it gave me,

Film criticism is the analysis and evaluation of films, individually and collectively. In general, this can be divided into journalistic criticism that appears regularly in newspapers and other popular, mass-media outlets and academic criticism by film scholars that is informed by film theory and published in journals.

For our ancillary task we were told to do a film review for our film as if it was in a magazine. I went on to Google and researched some magazines that do film reviews.
